Palos Verdes Library District Teen Summer Reading Program & July 2021 Activities!
Palos Verdes homes owners are happy that the Palos Verdes Library District will be expanding their service hours as of July 11, 2021. Now that summer has officially started, this is a great time to get your children’s summer reading programs going. Whether you have young children or a high school age child, you can help your child maintain or even improve their reading skills. The library also offers some great activities for kids and adults too!
Teen Summer Reading Program: Reading Colors Your World
If your child is going into 6th – 12th grade, they can join the Teen Summer Reading Program! This is a fun program where they read any five books they like and they will be able to get a $5 Amazon gift card. When they read five more they will earn a second card for $5. Two $5 cards is the max, but they can continue reading and win other prizes. There is also a fun weekly Teen guessing game called “Where in the World” where they can earn more chances to win prizes. You can find the instructions here by selecting “Teens” and scrolling down. High school students should be aware that the library has all the major titles on the Palos Verdes and Peninsula High Summer Reading lists in the Teen ebook collection
