Palos Verdes Joins 2022 National Night Out Celebration!

Palos Verdes homes owners know that the safety of our community depends on both law enforcement and citizen participation.  Residents are encouraged to participate in the National Night Out program, which is America’s Night Out Against Crime.  This event is held in all 50 states and every U.S. military base.  In our community, the PVE Neighborhood Watch encourages neighbors to do something to mark this nationwide event on August 2, 2022, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

In order to promote this neighborly connection and support of our PVE Police Department and Fire Department, we are encouraged to celebrate National Night Out with these ideas:

  • Put on your porch light on in the evening
  • Consider dropping off a note of appreciation at the PVE Police Department or Fire Department
  • Meet a neighbor that you don’t already know
  • Gather your neighbors for a front yard or driveway potluck

Getting to know our neighbors is our most powerful tool in keeping a safe and connected neighborhood. It is a great way to enhance neighborhood watchfulness and security. It’s also a good way to build friendships and get recommendations for vendors and suppliers for security items or home renovation.

Be a Part of Promoting Community Safety

Another great way to be engaged in neighborhood safety is to be a member of PVE Neighborhood Watch. Your $10 membership dues help them to fund educational programs and create social events throughout the year. Neighborhood Watch also helps support our PVE Police Department by providing meals for those that work on Christmas and Thanksgiving days. This has been a PVE Neighborhood Watch tradition for many years and is greatly appreciated.

You can join or renew online or via mail. All the information is found on Neighborhood Watch  website.
