Palos Verdes Library District November 2022 Activities!
November is Native American Heritage Month, and the Palos Verdes Library District will be celebrating the rich diversity of Native American cultures this month through their collection of informative reads. Below you can read about some of the interesting activities going on at our local libraries this month.
The Palos Verdes Library District will be presenting their Annual 2022 Community Art Show from November 4 through December 31, 2022, at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Library. The Community Art Show Artists Reception & Awards will be taking place on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., with music by harpist Catherine Litaker.
4th Annual Teen Writing Contest – Call for Entries
This is for 6-12 grade students to show off their writing talents. Follow the prompt every Monday beginning in November, and you will have a chance to win $50, be published on the library website, and have your work read by YA author Phil Stamper.
TechKnows – Drop-in Tech Help
On Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the Peninsula Center Library Community Room will have drop-in help to assist you with all your tech questions. Whether its your kindle or how to download e-books, their knowledgeable team can help you.
Board Games At the Library For Adults
On Monday, November 14, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., you can join instructors and other neighbors at the Peninsula Library Purcell Meeting Room and enjoy some fun board games.
PTA Reflections Art Exhibit will be showing at the Peninsula library from November 9, through November 29, 2022. The closing reception will take place on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Peninsula Library Book Club will have its next meeting on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. reading Page Against The Machine. The Miraleste Library Book Club is on the second Saturday of every month at 1:00 p.m. (November 12, 2022) Each month read a different book! This month it will be Oh William! by Elizabeth Strout. The Malaga Cove Book Club will take place at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 5, 2022, with A Long Petal of the Sea by Isabel Allende. For more information and registration click here.
