Palos Verdes home owners have another wonderful opportunity to hear thoughtful presentations at the June 2023 Peninsula Seniors Bohannon Lectures Series. These Lectures take place at Scriba Family center located at 602 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates, with in-person lectures starting at 10:30 a.m.
June 7 – “Don’t Let Age Change You. Change the Way You Age,” will be presented by Buno Perron, local fitness business owner and personal trainer. He can share with you how your brain and body activities can help you enjoy an active life to live healthy longer.
June 14 – LA Opera will provide a specialty opera discussion by a local community educator.
June 21 – “The Music of Summer,” will be presented by the Music Appreciation lecturers, Ann and Lee Strong. They will present a special talk to celebrate the season with pieces of music written from classical, rock, and pop genres, including familiar and lesser-known composition.
June 29 – “Dreams Do Come True,” will be presented by Lt. Col. D’Ann Chester, NASA JPL Speakers Bureau. She will discuss her dream of space flight that became a reality. As a famous 25 year space historian and educator, she is working with the Virgin Galactic program and Sir Richard Branson and has collected over 12,000 space memorabilia items.
