Palos Verdes residents have a few fun holiday events to enjoy this weekend.
On Friday, December 1, 2023, the Palos Verdes Estates Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at the Malaga Cove Plaza. The ceremony will go from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and there will be music, hot chocolate and food trucks.
Also on Friday, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes will be kicking off their Skating in the Park once again this year with the synthetic ice rink at the Ken Dyda Civic Center located at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, RPV. This fun event will take place on Dec. 1st from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with a tree lighting, food, crafts, and inflatables. On December 2 & December 3, 2023, you can skate from 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. These are 30 minute segments and the skate rental is included in the price of $7 residents/$10 non-residents. The festivities will begin again on December 26, and go through December 31, 2023, daily from 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For more information on all the events click here. The Rolling Hills Estates Parade of Lights will be taking place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. It is always fun to watch local youth groups, bands, floats and Santa visit the area.
