Palos Verdes homes owners can start their new years resolutions by being outdoors and getting some exercise with their fur babies dog while walking at the South Coast Botanic Garden on Sunday, January 28, 2024. This event is popular and tickets are limited. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All dogs must be kept on leashes while on Garden property including the parking lot. They will not be allowed in the Rose Garden or the Koi Pond areas. This is a transaction-less entry because advanced tickets are required to reserve your specific time slot. There will be water stations for both visitors and “fur babies.” The price for admission for the dog walk special event is $15/adult, $11/senior, $5/child, and all dogs $5 each. Members are free. For more information or to purchase admission tickets, click here.
While at the Garden, new to the calendar is “Basic Tips to Socialize Your Pet.” This takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and is an on leash, public obedience class which helps your dog concentrate on commands in high traffic areas. Its a great opportunity to help dogs of all ages learn to be more comfortable around each other and how to listen despite distractions. This requires one ticket per person participating and is not included in the dog walk price (dogs are free with their their paid owner). Price is $20/per for members, $25/person for non-members. Click here for information and tickets.
Coming in February will be the Lunar New Year Celebration every weekend. Remember that on the third Tuesday of each month, you can enjoy the Garden for free.
