Palos Verdes homes owners have an opportunity to celebrate Earth Day right here on the Palos Verdes Peninsula with activities taking place at the Promenade on the Peninsula and White Point Nature Center.
On Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Promenade on the Peninsula will be celebrating Earth Day at the shopping center where you can find fun and educational activities and giveaways for all. This FREE event will highlight great environmental opportunities including water conservation, storm water pollution prevention, and energy efficiency. There will also be FREE paper shredding available for Rolling Hills Estate residents limited to 3 boxes per person with the truck parked in the lot adjacent to El Pollo Inka.
Promenade on the Peninsula is located on Silver Spur Road between Hawthorne and Crenshaw Blvd. All stores and restaurants will be open during the event.
On Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, you can Celebrate Earth Day by helping care for the Native Plant Demonstration Garden at White Point Nature Preserve. At the Preserve there will be weeding & watering activities, native plant seed preparation, children’s learning activities at the Nature Center, a guided garden walk, raffle prizes and more. This event is open to volunteers of all ages, however volunteers under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com. White Point Nature Preserve is located at 1600 W. Paseo del Mar, San Pedro.
