Palos Verdes home owners can join the 2nd annual Run For Myles 5K/10K events on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Point Vicente Interpretive Center. The Run For Myles nonprofit was established for Myles Helm, as a tribute to his remarkable life and an opportunity to give back to the community that he held dear. This year the event will raise funds to directly benefit the Portuguese Bend Landslide Relief Fund managed by the Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Peninsula. This is a great opportunity to help support the efforts of the city of Rancho Palos Verdes to help address the land movement crisis affecting the community.
This fun event kicks off at 7:00 a.m. with registration open to the public for check-in. At 7:45 a.m., there will be announcements and a warm up session to prepare participants. The 10K race begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. followed by the 5K race at 8:15 a.m. and at 9:45 a.m., the Kid’s Fun Run takes place. At 10:15 a.m., there are announcements and awards to recognize outstanding participants. The 2024 course will remain the same as the previous year’s course, with the runs starting and ending at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center.
The cost for the 5K/10K, Kids Fun Run & Virtual 5K/10K are as follows: $54.00/5K, $59.30/10K, $27.50/Kids Run and $43.40 for the Virtual 5k/10K. For more information and to purchase tickets click here.
Parking is available at Point Vicente Interpretive Center located at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes until 7:00 a.m. and there will be a shuttle from the Rancho Palos Verdes city hall parking lot located at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, Rancho Palos Verdes.
