Palos Verdes Free Post Holiday Tree Pick Up 2024 Schedules

Palos Verdes residents can enjoy a complimentary pick-up of their Christmas tree after the holidays with their regular trash pickup.

Palos Verdes Estates residents are scheduled for pick up of their Christmas trees beginning January 2, 2025, and continuing through January 31, 2025. This service will be provided during your normal weekly trash pickup with the trees removed from your normal trash enclosure/area.  After January 31, 2025, however, you are responsible to cut and bundle your tree securely with twine or rope and leave it in your trash area.  Stands and all decorations including tinsel must be removed.  Lightly flocked trees are acceptable.  For more information, call Athens Services at (888) 336-6100.

The City of Rolling Hills will be recycling their trees as part of their regular trash pick-up program also.  Just put it out on your regular green trash day and the trees will be picked up from January 2nd through January 16, 2025. Remember to remove everything from the tree including the stand; flocked trees will be picked up also.  However, if your tree is over 6 feet, you are required to cut it in half. For more information, call Waste Management at (310) 677-6500.

Rancho Palos Verdes will be picking up and recycling trees from December 26 through January 2, 2025.  From January 3 through January 17, 2025, your tree will be considered part of your regular trash day pick up and will need to be set out with green waste. Please remove everything from your tree and place it next to your trash bin.   If your Christmas tree is over 6 feet tall, they ask that you cut the tree in half. For more information, call EDCO Waste at (310) 540-2977.

Rolling Hills Estates will be recycling trees as part of their regular trash pick up from January 2nd through January 16, 2025.  All trees must have everything removed from them including the stand before pick up.  If you miss the tree pick up date, you must cut your tree to fit in your normal trash container. For more information, call Waste Management at (800) 774-0222.
