Palos Verdes Library District January 2025 Activities!

The Palos Verdes Library District will be offering a variety of adventures for visitors of all ages in the month of January.

Chinese American History and Calligraphy with Marie Chan will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Miraleste Library.  She will be sharing her new book and the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy! All supplies will be provided.

Palos Verdes Writes Together -Live Anthology Reading will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. This will be a great opportunity for the participants from the PV Writes Together Anthology to share excerpts from their writing submissions.

Friday Fun: will take place in the Peninsula Center Library Storytime Room, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and is designed for TK through 5th grade kids. This fun craft event will start the weekend off right. No registration is required.

Friday, January 31 – Lunar New Year Snake Craft

Too Busy Book Club will take place this month on Monday, January 21, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Peninsula Center Library. They will be discussing “Cleopatra:a life by Stacy Schiff”.

Movies at the Library will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Peninsula Community Room from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The movie this month will be “All About Eve” (1950).

Lunar New Year Craft for Adults with Stacy Wong will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. The event will be celebrating the Lunar New Year with local creative Stacy Wong. In this workshop adult participants will have an opportunity to create a red envelope wall charm. Space is limited, and advanced registration is required. Adults only.
