On Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be taking hikers on a docent led tour on the paved path through the Trump National Golf Course, between holes, through a corridor of restored native and landscape plantings. The course is located within a known ancient landslide area (known to geologists as landslide “C”) and an environmentally sensitive coastal bluff reserve, home to the endangered California Gnatcatcher bird. You will pass by a wetland area where you can look out over hole 16 with its rock-rimmed lake and surrounding vegetation; a home to many migratory birds. A variety of non-native plants were selected specifically for this area, including the New Zealand Christmas tree, species of Melaleuca (tea-trees, honey myrtles) and Strawberry tree. This is considered an easy walk and is approx 1.5 miles.
Park at Trump National – to the left of the club house in the public lot at end of Ocean Trails Drive. (Ocean Trails Reserve) Trump National Golf Course is located at One Ocean Trails Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes.
