Peninsula Seniors Present Bohannon Lecture Series & Coffee and Cars September 2025

Palos Verdes homeowners have great presentations in the September 2025 Peninsula Seniors Bohannon Lectures Series.  These Lectures take place at Scriba Family Center located at 602 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates, with in-person lectures beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the following Wednesdays:

September 3 – “Garden of Flowering Fragrance” will be presented by Greg Danner, who is a museum volunteer and avid gardener, and he will be discussing the Huntington Museum Chinese Garden, Liu Fang Yuan, one of the largest and most authentic Chinese gardens outside of China.

September 10 – “White Mulberry” will have local author Rosa Kwon Easton, discussing her debut novel about a young Korean woman coming of age amidst the turbulence of WWII, based on her own family story.

September 17 – “Northern Renaissance Art” will be explored by members Ann and Lee Strong as it emerged in the north of Europe, including pieces by Flemish artist Jan Van Eyck, Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch and others.

September 24 -“Beyond Wills & Trusts: Advanced Estate Planning” will be returning with an engaging session to explore sophisticated trust strategies designed to potentially reduce estate taxes and help preserve family wealth for generations.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Coffee & Cars will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on the top parking deck of the Promenade Mall. On the first Saturday of every month, a group of car enthusiasts bring their Hot Rod, Custom, Muscle Car, Sports Car, Antique, and other special interest vehicles to this location where you can admire the cars, meet the owners and ask them questions. To reach the top parking deck, enter from Indian Peak Road at the Peninsula Shopping Center off Silver Spur Road and Hawthorne Boulevard in Rolling Hills Estates.
