During the month of August 2022, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is offering hikes on the Palos Verdes trails and several outdoor volunteer projects.

Special Dog Walking Hours at the South Coast Botanic Garden will take place on Sunday, July 31, 2022, with advance reservations for time slots between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The Palos Verdes Neighborhood Church is presenting their free Summer Sunday Sounds concerts on July 17 & August 21, 2022.

The Hills Are Alive - 10K and 5K race and a 5K walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates and benefits The Pepper Tree Foundation.

Palos Verdes enjoys "Movies In The Park" at Point Vicente Park/Civic Center on July 16, 2022, showing "Luca" with fun events starting at 7:00 p.m.

Lunada Bay Homeowners Association is hosting their summer concerts series on Sundays, July 3, July 31, August 21 & September 18, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Shakespeare by the Sea will be presenting "Romeo and Juliet" and "Much Ado About Nothing" during the months of June, July and August 2022 at three different local locations.

Fourth of July fireworks 2022 can be seen from Palos Verdes and other South Bay locations. There will be local fireworks starting at 9:00 p.m. off the coastline of Redondo Beach to Malibu.
