Palos Verdes Estates' residents are encouraged to join their area Neighborhood Watch Association in celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Hills Are Alive - 10K and 5K race and a 5K walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates and benefits The Pepper Tree Foundation.

At Terranea Resort on Saturday, August 15, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be hosting at "Summer Impressions", an art workshop which also includes a family coastal hike.

The South Coast Botanic Garden offers a free admission day on July 19, 2016, for all to enjoy their summer gardens.

"The Beauty of Nature" film series will feature The Way, Touching The Void, and Unbranded to conclude this years film series sponsored by Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy.

Palos Verdes offers residents free summer fun with Yoga or a Drive-In Movie in the Park.

2016 Palos Verdes Fourth of July celebrations will be held in Palos Verdes Estates at Malaga Cove School beginning at 9:30 a.m. and in Rancho Palos Verdes at the Point Vicente Park/Civic Center at 11:00 a.m.

Fourth of July fireworks 2016 can be seen from Palos Verdes and other South Bay locations. There will be fireworks at 9:30 p.m. off the barge at Torrance Beach,: Redondo Beach's Seaside Lagoon and San Pedro's Cabrillo Beach fireworks shows will start at 9:00 p.m.

Summer Concerts In The Park 2016 Malaga Cove series in Palos Verdes begins July 13, 2016, and continues every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. through August 31, 2016, and will include Bad Haggis, Andy & Renee, Jim Sitterly Trio, Joanna Medawar Nachel Singers, Chuck Alvarez Blues, The UK Beat, Peaceful Easy Eagles & Cody Bryant.

Palos Verdes tennis players are getting ready for the 38th Annual Tracy Austin Doubles Tennis Tournament which will be held on July 15 to 17, 2016.
