The Hills Are Alive - 10K and 5K race and a 5K walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates and benefits The Pepper Tree Foundation.

During July 2023, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is offering nature walks on Palos Verdes trails, volunteer opportunities, team leader training & native plant sales.

Fourth of July activities 2023 will be taking place at Point Vicente Park, Seaside Lagoon & the Riviera Village this year. There will be no local firework display this year in Redondo Beach due to new LA Regional Water Quality Control Board rules.

Palos Verdes beaches received a grade of A & A+ by Heal the Bay on their 2022- 2023 top honors list. Heal the Bay has been working since 1990 to ensure that beach goers are aware of the possible pollution of their beaches.
