Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is presenting Kindergarten Parent Information Meetings on January 27 & 28, 2015, and all parents that have kindergarten children entering the 2015-2016 school year are encouraged to attend.

Whale watching off the Palos Verdes coast has returned with more than 110 whales spotted as of December 18th. Point Vicente Interpretive Center is an excellent spot to view the whales from the land, and two local companies have boat excursions that you can book.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy offers Palos Verdes hikes and many other opportunities during the month of January 2015 - hiking, bird watching, nocturnal events, volunteer opportunities and more.

Many holiday events continue in Palos Verdes this weekend. You can enjoy King Harbor's Holiday Boat Parade, Neighborhood Church's Annual Christmas Pageant and St. Peters by the Sea Christmas comedy and songs by The Three Wisemen.

Santa will be making quite a few stops this year in Palos Verdes. You can enjoy Breakfast with Santa at several locations, and picture taking opportunities and Santa visits at our local parks and malls.

Holiday Music can be found in Palos Verdes beginning with Mary & Joseph Retreat Center's Irish Christmas Tea & Carols, Marymount University's Choral Ensemble and Winter Concert, and Wayfarers Chapel Christmas Concert.

On Saturday, December 6, 2014, Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be offering a moderate walk at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park at 2:00 p.m.

Palos Verdes Holiday Celebrations 2014 with dates and times for the Parade of Lights, Nutcracker Ballets and the Palos Verdes Performing Arts (last of their 2014 series) "The Best of Doo Wop at Christmas."

The Neighborhood Church will present its 58th Annual Christmas Celebration with Yule Tea By The Sea on December 5 & 6th, 2014.
