South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes Peninsula will be offering Chen Bin Taiji in the Garden (Tai Chi classes) on Saturdays beginning March 15, 2014.

Palos Verdes public and private schools tuition/funding comparison for 2013/2014 including Palos Verdes Unified School District, Chadwick, Rolling Hills Preparatory, Rolling Hills Country Day and Peninsula Heritage.

Palos Verdes Junior Ranger Program is being offered to children 7 to 12 years of age. The programs orientation will be held on March 8 & 9th, 2014, from 1-3 p.m. There will be five sessions and will culminate with a graduation ceremony.

Spring School Vacation 2014 is approaching and here are some activities children can enjoy. Palos Verdes Art Center is having creative classes for children 5+ and AYSO is offering soccer camps for children 4-16.

Palos Verdes Art Center will be holding its 12th annual Dream House Raffle with a $1,925,000 home and $1,000,000 cash prize. Ticket cost is $150 with proceeds benefiting the Art Center and their community programs.

Enjoy Cherry Blossom Picnic Day at the South Coast Botanic Garden on Saturday, March 5, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the upper and lower meadows.

Palos Verdes whale watching and other marine events will be part of Whale Of A Day at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Rancho Palos Verdes on Saturday, March 1, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, February 15, 2014, the docents at Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be leading a tide pool hike at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park, from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. and later that evening a Ranger Led Night Hike will take place from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Portuguese Bend Reserve.

Peninsula Seniors lecture series for the month of February 2014 will meet every Wednesday from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Hesse Park in the Fireside Room and includes presentations by Lindsay Ross, Maureen Nunn, Maria Serrao & Peter Small.
