On Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Palos Verdes Library District presents One Book One Peninsula, featuring "The Nature Principle" by Richard Louv.

The Beauty of Nature will be featuring Rivers and Tides, More Than Honey and Kon-Tiki to conclude this years film series sponsored by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy.

The Palos Verdes Library District now offers CoderDojo (computer coding classes) and Flipster (free magazines for ipads) to it's members through the Peninsula Center Library.

The County of Los Angeles is offering a Smart Gardening Workshop at South Coast Botanic Garden on June 21, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Backyard compost and worm bins can be purchased here.

Los Serenos de Point Vicente is offering a bluff top hike and tour of the Point Vicente Lighthouse and Museum on Saturday, June 21, 2014, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Palos Verdes Junior Ranger Program is being offered to children 7 to 12 years of age. The programs orientation will be held on March 8 & 9th, 2014, from 1-3 p.m. There will be five sessions and will culminate with a graduation ceremony.

On June 8, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 noon., the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be sponsoring a walk at the Three Sisters Reserve. This strenuous hike will allow you to see all of the work done during the last four years to restore this area.
