The Palos Verdes Art Center early bird fall registration will start on August 18, 2017, for classes which will begin the week of September 11, 2017, and continue through November 18, 2017.

On Saturday, August 12, 2017, the International Longshoreman and Warehouse Union will sponser "Walk the Coast" community fundraiser for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

The 60th Annual Portuguese Bend National Horse Show will be held at Ernie Howlett Park on Friday, September 8, through Sunday, September 10, 2017. In addition to horse competitions, this event features an old fashioned hometown fair with petting zoos, pony rides, moon bounces and more.

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes will join Los Serenos de Point Vicente and Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy to host Coastal Cleanup Day in Palos Verdes on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park.

Palos Verdes South Coast Botanic Garden will be presenting the 2017 Begonia & Orchid Society Shows plus additional events in the months of August and September.

Palos Verdes tennis players can sign up for the 39th Annual Tracy Austin Doubles Tennis Tournament which will be held on July 21, 22 & 23, 2017.

Peninsula Seniors lecture series for the month of August 2017 will be held Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Hesse Park in the Fireside Room and includes presentations by Pete Olpe, Dr. Lucas Lamadrid, Rick Thompson, Don Christy and Mike Utt. This month Coffee & Cars will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the Peninsula Center.
