Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is taking applications for the "Parent Participation Model" schools, Cornerstone and Rancho Vista Elementary, through February 29, 2016, at 4:00 p.m.

The Palos Verdes Library District will be sponsoring its 7th annual "One Book One Peninsula" on March 5, 2016, featuring "The Martian" author Andy Weir at the Palos Verdes Art Center.

Palos Verdes Art Center will be holding its 14th annual Dream House Raffle with a $3,595,000 house prize package and $2,000,000 in cash. Ticket cost is $150 with proceeds benefiting the Art Center and their community programs.

Peninsula Seniors lecture series for the month of February 2016 will meet Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Hesse Park in the Fireside Room and includes presentations about The Challenges of Finding the Perfect Set Decoration, DNA to solve Murder Cases, Memory Boosters, and the First Successful Invasion of North America . Coffee & Cars will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2015, at the Peninsula Center back parking area.

Palos Verdes Estates is holding their E-Waste & Water-Based Paint Disposal Collection for Palos Verdes Estates residents on Saturday, January 23, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will host Winter Impressions, an art workshop which also includes a family coastal hike on January 30, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Terranea Resort.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is presenting Kindergarten Parent Information Meetings on January 26 & 27, 2016, and all parents that have kindergarten children entering in the 2016-2017 school year are encouraged to attend.
