On Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be offering a guided walk through the Portuguese Bend Landslide area explaining the history of the landslide and pointing out the resulting land formations.
Palos Verdes residents are lucky to be able to view fireworks from both sides of the Peninsula. Beginning at Torrance Beach, residents will be able to observe the Fourth of July fireworks all the way up the coast. On the east side of the Peninsula, fireworks can be seen from Cabrillo Beach, the Queen Mary and along the Long Beach coastline.
