Things To Do In Palos Verdes

Spring Vacation 2013 is approaching and here are some activities children can enjoy. Palos Verdes Art Center is having fun creative classes for children 5+ and AYSO spring camp is offering soccer camps for kids 4-16.

There are several Easter Egg Hunt's for children to enjoy right here in Palos Verdes. On Saturday, March 23, 2013, the Peninsula Center will be holding their event from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Next week on Saturday,March 30th, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes will hold its annual Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza from 10-11 a.m. at Ladera Linda Community Center.

Palos Verdes AYSO soccer sign ups are now available on line. You must register and pay fees at www.eayso.org. Hesse Park will be holding registration on April 20, 2013, and June 1, 2013.

Palos Verdes 2013 Summer School Registration begins online for high school on March 19, 2013, April 1st for intermediate students and April 8th for elementary school children.

Palos Verdes Art Center Unveiling Night Gala will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 6-10 p.m. Cost is $225/person or $1800/table of 10. Reservations required (310) 541-2479. Pre-Opening Lecture & Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 5 - 8 p.m. There is no charge for the March 23rd event.

The Norris Center For The Performing Arts presents its annual fundraiser "Rhythm vs Romance" on March, 15- 17, 2013, which will showcase local talent from children to seniors.

South Coast Cactus & Succulent Society will be coming to the South Coast Botanic Garden on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 1:30 p.m., with speaker Woody Minnich from New Mexico sharing his photographs.

Palos Verdes Library District is offering e-book classes for iPad, Kindle and Nook owners to learn how to download free books from the library. The library is also offering free movies in the month of March which include The Quiet Man, Robot & Frank and ARGO.

Information on children's summer activities will be available on March 9, 2013, through What's Up For Kids which will have exhibitors/resources at the Norris Pavilion in Rolling Hills Estates. 90274
