Palos Verdes Fireworks Viewing Locations 2015

Palos Verdes homes owners have many great locations on or around the Peninsula to enjoy the many firework shows and holiday fun. There are day long celebrations beginning in the morning at Malaga Cove School or Point Vicente Park in Rancho Palos Verdes (Click here to read more about those activities).  After dusk we are lucky to be able to watch fireworks from the Peninsula up and down the coast in the skies above local South Bay cities.  Off the coast of Torrance Beach (shot from a barge) at 9:00 p.m., there will again be a great fireworks show which is privately funded.  This is a free event and will attract many people who will come to enjoy daytime beach activities and stay for the evening fireworks show.  Since 2011, Torrance’s Wilson Park’s show has been cancelled due to a lack of funding, so many people will go to Torrance Beach and parking could be challenging.

A little further up the coast in Redondo Beach, Seaside Lagoon will once again be celebrating the holiday beginning at 2:00 p.m.  You can enjoy water games and fun, arts and crafts, Jim Gamble puppet show and a live DJ who will be playing music throughout the day and even during the firework show.  There is a $15 cover charge for adults and $10 for children payable at the entrance; it does sell out early so purchasing tickets ahead of time is a must.  For more information on the Lagoon and/or to purchase tickets go to http://www.redondofireworks.com/.  Also in Redondo Beach, the 65 foot vessel “Voyager” will be giving riders an oceanside view of the coastline fireworks.  The boat will cast off at 8:30 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Marina and bring you back at 10:00 p.m.  The cost is $30 per person. To learn more or for reservations go to www.voyagerexcursions.com, or call (310) 944-1219.

On the other side of the Peninsula in San Pedro, Cabrillo Beach will once again present their fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.  This is a great place to bring the family to the beach to enjoy the local show.  And if weather permits, from Cabrillo Beach you can also view the firework show off of the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

Choose your location and get ready for the Fourth of July fireworks.  Just grab a blanket and enjoy!
