Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is presenting Palos Verdes hikes and a variety of outdoor activities for Palos Verdes homes owners to participate in during the month of July.  In addition to hikes and other outside activities, they are always looking for volunteers to assist in keeping our hillsides maintained.

Special Events:

A guided nature walk by Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy to Alta Vicente Reserve, will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 9:00 a.m.  This is a new walk to explore North Spur Trail through the last farm area on the Peninsula and enjoy the coastal views.  Also it is the site of the Conservancy’s recent habitat restoration to turn degraded land into native habitat for attracting birds and wildlife.  This is a moderate walk and is free and open to the public.  For more information contact (310) 541-7613 ext. 201.

Another new event is the Naturalist Workshop by Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the White Point Nature Preserve.  Join a Natural History Museum scientist for a presentation on citizen science using iNaturalist.  This will be followed by a guided nature walk.  Space will be limited so RSVP at info@pvplc.org or call (310) 541-7613.
