Palos Verdes Police & Fire Departments Open House
Palos Verdes Police & Fire Department Open House is a great event that the whole family will enjoy. On Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 9:00 to 12:00 noon, the city of Palos Verdes Estates will open their doors for Palos Verdes homes owners to come in and meet the men and women who serve our City. This will include the Police Department, Streets & Parks Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The theme “Getting To Know Your City,” which is part of the 75 year City Anniversary, offers all of us the opportunity to see inside the doors of the police & fire station, dispatch, briefing room, booking room, firing range, detective bureau and even take a tour of the jail. Children of all ages will be able to view the latest in rescue equipment, shakey quakey, fire apparatus and emergency vehicles, and meet the K-9.
They will also be giving out information on community programs which support these services and food and drinks will be offered. This is a free event, so bring your children and your camera along for this fun event.
