Palos Verdes home owners enjoy pickleball here on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. In response to the popularity of the sport, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has opened up two new courts at the Ken Dyda Civic Center.
According to the National Recreation and Park Associations’s top Trends in Recreation in 2022, pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country, with over 4 million players nationwide. The Recreation and Parks Department is excited to offer this new recreation opportunity to community members of all ages.
The new courts will be open for first come first serve tennis and pickleball play from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset daily. The staff recommends that players limit their playtime on the court to one hour when others are waiting.
Ken Dyda Civic Center is located at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, Rancho Palos Verdes.
