The Palos Verdes Library District will be offering a variety of adventures for visitors of all ages in the month of February..
Peninsula Center Library will be offering Playtime (free play with the library’s toys) for the younger generation on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays, from February 6 through February 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
Peninsula Center Library Storytime is back aimed at TK – 5th grade, but welcomes all ages. This FRIDAY FUN event takes place from 4: 00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will include: Feb 2 “Groundhog Day” – Feb 9 “Paper Plate Drums” – Feb 16 “Paper Towers” & Feb 23, 2024 “Potato Chip Taste Test.”
Write On Time – will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This event will help writers of all ages get peer feedback, sharing and tackling writing prompts from their group. The event will take place at the Peninsula Center Library Purcell Meeting Room.
Malaga Cove Library Art Gallery will be presenting BOUNDLESS with the opening reception on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This art exhibit will be showcasing the Paletteers of the Palos Verdes Art Center with art pieces exhibited in the gallery through March 9, 2024.
TechKnows – Drop-in Tech Help – Will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. Just drop in and help will be there to assist you with all your tech questions. Whether its your kindle or how to download e-books, their knowledgeable team can help you.
Henna Art – will be presented by Alka Joshi the author of The Henna Artist on February 16, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Peninsula Center Community Room.
Movies at the Library will take place this month on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The screening will feature the movie “Moonsoon Wedding.”
Celebrate Black History Month on February 17, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Peninsula Center Community Room. Also in the Peninsula Center Community Room, the 15th Annual Living History Museum of African American Heroes will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Miraleste Library Book Club is on the second Saturday of every month at 1:00 p.m. (February 10, 2024). Each month read a different book! This month it will be The Premonition by Michael Lewis. The Malaga Cove Book Club will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, with Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan.
