Palos Verdes homeowners have great presentations in the June 2026 Peninsula Seniors Bohannon Lectures Series. These Lectures take place at Scriba Family Center located at 602 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates, with in-person lectures beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the following Wednesdays:
June 3 – “The Goats are Back in Town” will be presented by Michael Choi, CEO of Fire Grazers, who will discuss the fire safety weed abatement efforts of his company’s 1,400 goats grazing on the Palos Verdes Peninsula to keep our open spaces safe.
June 10 – “Discover the PV Wine Club” will be presented by CEO and founder, Jeff Rinna, who will introduce his new wine club on Deep Valley drive which brings the unique wine country tasting experience to the South Bay.
June 17 – “Captain Kip’s Adventures” will be presented by Captain Kip Louttit, U.S. Coast Guard, Retired, as he will discuss his work as executive director of the Marine exchange of So Cal and Vessel Traffic Service of LA and Long Beach, promoting a safe, secure, and reliable maritime transportation system, and his 30 years of sailing experiences around the world.
June 24 – “The Sounds of Summer” will have Ann and Lee Strong Members and Music Appreciation instructors, entertain with musical pieces to celebrate the season, sampling music from Tchaikovsky, The Beach Boys, Louis Armstong, Seals and Crofts, and others.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Coffee & Cars will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on the top parking deck of the Promenade Mall. On the first Saturday of every month, a group of car enthusiasts bring their Hot Rod, Custom, Muscle Car, Sports Car, Antique, and other special interest vehicles to this location where you can admire the cars, meet the owners and ask them questions. To reach the top parking deck, enter from Indian Peak Road at the Peninsula Shopping Center off Silver Spur Road and Hawthorne Boulevard in Rolling Hills Estates.
