Terranea Resort will host Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy and Art To Grow On's "Spring Impressions" for children on January 25, 2014, from 10:00 - 12 noon.

Whale watching is back off the Palos Verdes coast with more than 604 whales being spotted to date this season. Point Vicente Interpretive Center is an excellent spot to view the whales from the land, and two local companies have boat excursions that have boat excursions that you can book.

Palos Verdes Peninsula High School and Palos Verdes High School are hosting several information sessions for students and parents in Palos Verdes to assist in their selection of a high school for the 2014-2015 school year.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is presenting Kindergarten Parent Information Meetings on January 28 & 29, 2014, and all parents that have kindergarten children entering the 2014-2015 school year are encouraged to attend.

The tall ships are offering parents and children a hands-on opportunity to enjoy a three hour ride on one of the two brigantines, the Irving Johnson or Exy Johnson,.on January 3, 7 or 11, 2014.

On Saturday, December 28, 2013, Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be offering a moderate walk at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park at 11:00 a.m.

The South Coast Botanic Garden will be having a Holiday Boutique this weekend on Saturday, December 7, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band will present a Holiday Concert including a special narration of "The Night Before Christmas" on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.

Santa is coming to Palos Verdes at several different locations including Breakfast with Santa and Visits and Pictures with Santa.
