The Promenade on the Peninsula in Palos Verdes and The Peninsula Center are offering fun children's activities and trick or treating for families to enjoy on Halloween.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is offering a walk, where you can bring your dog on leash, at the Alta Vista Reserve on November 9, 2013, from 9 to 11 a.m.

On Sunday, October 27, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., the Los Serenos volunteers will walk you down to the beach through the switchback trails while you enjoy all the local fall blooms.

PVE - CARES Senior Health Fair will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes Estates and will offer free flu shots, lunch, prescription disposal and free shredding of documents.

Palos Verdes residents can enjoy fall activities at the Harvest Festival at the Lunada Bay Plaza on October 27, 2013, from 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m.

The Costume Closet in Palos Verdes Estates has increased it's selection of costumes and added more hours in October for Halloween rentals.

Palos Verdes Autumn Impressions, a family coastal hike and children's art workshop, will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon. The event will start at Pelican Cove and continue at Terranea Resort.

The 2013 Promenade on the Peninsula 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, October 13, at 8:30 a.m., at the Promenade on the Peninsula Mall located at 550 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates.

Palos Verdes Library District is offering e-Book classes for iPad & Kindle' owners on how to download free books from the library on Monday, October 7, 2013, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Free movies this month will include MUDD, TOUCH OF EVIL and SHOWER.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce encourages residents to shop "Local First" not only at the large shopping centers, but also at our historic business plazas, such as Lunada Bay and Malaga Cove which benefits all Palos Verdes residents.
