Palos Verdes Estates is holding its Annual Hazardous & E-Waste Collection for Palos Verdes Estates residents on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Palos Verdes High School.

Free assistance with income tax preparation is available on Saturdays from February 2, through April 13, 2019, at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Senior Center in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Whale watching off the Palos Verdes coast has begun with 195 gray whales spotted since December 1, 2018. Point Vicente Interpretive Center is an excellent spot to view the whales from the land and two local companies have boat excursions that you can book.

Palos Verdes homes owners are able to ride the Palos Verdes transit bus free on New Year's Eve 2018. It will pick you up at your home and take you anywhere on the Peninsula.
