Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy offers many different opportunties during the month of December for hikes, bird watching, noctural events volunteering and more.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is offering a walk, where you can bring your dog on leash, at the Alta Vista Reserve on November 9, 2013, from 9 to 11 a.m.

On Sunday, October 27, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., the Los Serenos volunteers will walk you down to the beach through the switchback trails while you enjoy all the local fall blooms.

Palos Verdes Autumn Impressions, a family coastal hike and children's art workshop, will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon. The event will start at Pelican Cove and continue at Terranea Resort.

On Saturday, October 12, 2013, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be offering a Lower Malaga Dunes nature walk beginning at 9:00 a.m. which will visit ancient sand dune habitat..

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is looking for volunteers to commit to a one year program to monitor wild foxes and coyotes in the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve.

Locally, White Point Nature Preserve will be celebrating National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This gives us an opportunity to volunteer and assist in the upkeep of our natural Preserve.

On September 21, 2013, Los Serenos de Point Vicente will be sponsoring an International Coastal Cleanup Day at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be offering 3 full moon hikes at George F. Canyon on August 17, September 21 & October 18, 2013. Reservations are required as it is limited to 20 participants.

On Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy will be offering a guided walk through the Portuguese Bend Landslide area explaining the history of the landslide and pointing out the resulting land formations.
