Trails and Hikes

Palos Verdes Ocean Trails Hike will begin at Trump National Golf Club on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. Los Serenos docents will walk you down to the beach through the switchback trails while you enjoy all the local fall blooms.

Palos Verdes Bird Walk and First Saturday Canyon Walk will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at George F. Canyon Preserve & Nature Center at 7306 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates.

Ocean Trails Reserve Nature Hike will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. near Trump National Golf Club. This hike is hosted by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy.

Oceanfront Estates Walk will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude with a Point Vicente Lighthouse museum visit. What a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our beautiful coastline and then learn about Point Vicente Lighthouse.

Palos Verdes Bird Walk and First Saturday Canyon Walk will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Geroge F. Canyon Preserve & Nature Center at 7306 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates.

A Palos Verdes night hike will take place on Friday, August 3,2012, at 8:30 p.m. at George F Canyon. Reservations are required and the fee is $10 per person.

On Saturday, July 7, 2012, the George F. Canyon Preserve & Nature Center will offer their morning Bird Walk at 9:00 a.m. and their afternoon First Saturday Walk through the Canyon at 1:00 p.m.

A Canyon Night Hike will take place at George F. Canyon on Friday, July 6, 2012, at 8:30 p.m. Reservations are required and there is a limit of 20 participants for this two mile round trip hike with fantastic city lights views.

Palos Verdes Nature Preserve Ranger Hotline (310-491-5775) is now taking calls regarding misuse of lands in the preserve and to get information on activities taking place in this area.

National Trails Day will be held at Del Cerro Park in Rancho Palos Verdes on June 2, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to noon and will include hikes, guided nature walks, raffle prizes, treasure hunt and other activities.
