Palos Verdes Performing Arts Presents “Willy Wonka Jr”
Palos Verdes home owners who are looking for a fun stage presentation for their family to enjoy, need look no further. “Willy Wonka Jr” will be playing on August 3, through August 5, 2018, at the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Norris Theatre. This is a perfect opportunity to introduce young children to a live performance.
As you will remember, this is the story of Willy Wonka, the enigmatic candy manufacturer, who stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whoever finds one of these tickets will be able to take a free tour of the Wonka factory, and a lifetime supply of candy. As it turns out four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory – or suffer the consequences.
Performance times for “Willy Wonka Jr” at the Norris Theatre are 7:00 p.m. on Friday & Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday. Tickets start at $30 for adults & $15 for youth under 17, and can be purchased online at www.norriscenter.com or call (310) 544-0403.
